Zonta International is a worldwide service organization of executive business and professional women. The Zonta Club of Harrisburg-Hershey has raised money to fund specific local projects which focus on the improvement and safety of women and children. Zonta invites your organization to submit a proposal.
One award of between $1,000 and $5,000 may be given, or may be divided between several organizations. These funds may not be used for wages, salaries or staff travel except as they directly relate to the funded project.
When making our selection, we will be considering numerous factors, including the geographical area served by your organization; the number of people being served through the funded project; will the project be abandoned if not funded by Zonta; the level of the organizations current fundraising; will the project have a direct or indirect impact on women and children; type of service to be funded, i.e. basic service, brochures, etc.; is there an evaluation process for this project; duration of the project.
Deadline for submission is February 29, 2008. Project awards will be announced in April and grants presented by May 8, 2008. Typed applications are preferred. Please limit your responses to a one page cover letter and the Zonta grant application questions. Do not include brochures, reports, addendums, etc.
Information for mailing the application and making inquiries by telephone are on page 2 of the Service Grant Application Information sheet.
Inquiries may also be emailed to grantsinfo@zonta-harrisburghershey.org
