Advancing the Status of Women Worldwide

Generous business owners in downtown New Cumberland, Pennsylvania donated use of their parking lots to the Zonta Club of Harrisburg-Hershey for one of the best fundraisers of our membership year.

The 22nd Annual New Cumberland Apple Festival was held on Saturday, September 29, 2007 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in New Cumberland Borough Park at Front and Bridge Streets.

Visitors could park very close to the festivities for as long as necessary while supporting our efforts to improve the quality of life for women and children both globally and locally.  We raised over $2200!

Member and New Cumberland business owner Diana Laughner, along with Kay Rittenhouse and Gary Bernardi, long-time supporters of Zonta, worked with area business owners arrange the lots.  We were most visible on the corner of Front and Bridge streets at the New Cumberland Car Wash.
