Advancing the Status of Women Worldwide

Serving Southcentral Pennsylvania, we are a chartered club of Zonta International, a worldwide service organization of executives in business and the professions working together since 1919 to advance the status of women.  We are also a 501(C)3 public charity.

The Zonta Club of Harrisburg Hershey was recognized by Domestic Violence Services of Cumberland and Perry Counties at their 1st Annual Evening of Excellence Dinner as the non-profit organization who has exemplified advocacy through education and mentoring; innovative efforts to assist victims of domestic violence; and on-going support to end violence against women for the 19 years that DVS/CP has provided services in this area.

The Club received a 2nd Place Achievement Award from Zonta International, District 3 for it's Status of Women/Service efforts during 2010-2011. You can read more about our focus on hand's on projects on the 'Service' page.

The Zonta Club of Harrisburg Hershey awarded grants in excess of $6,000 to local agencies at our May meetings in recent years. The grants are in support of their efforts to improve the status of women in the local community.  The Club also awards a $500 Young Women in Public Affairs scholarship to a high school student who demonstrates strong leadership skills and awareness of issues facing women internationally as well as $500 Jane Klausman Scholarship to a college student pursuing a business focus.

Information about the 2012 Service Grants will be published in early 2012.  For additional information, click here.
